Siberian Seasons
Yesterday I was discussing with a Russian the seasons in Siberia. I said that there are only two seasons in Siberia...winter, and winter's coming.
He stronly refuted my statement and explained once and for all the Siberian seasons
June ...........Spring
July............Summer
August .......Fall
September to May ....Winter

Essentially, you were right. One month of Summer...oy...
And at the other end of the scale, when we lived in Venezuela I thought they only had two seasons hot,and hotter. I was amazingly surprised when I saw the locals donning leather jackets at the arrival of some inperceptible change in temperature, that went unnoticed by the rest of us- expatriates.
By the way from the Tropics to the Arctic, you do get around!
